Gutter cleaning is priced by the house, not by the hour: how many feet of gutter, how many stories, whether guards are in the way, how full the gutters are, how many downspouts must be cleared, and whether the debris is hauled away. This page shows published price tables from local providers in our metros, with the date we read them, so you can see the shape of the market. None of them is our price. Ours is one all-in number for your house, shown before you commit.

What decides the price

Factor Why it matters Published examples (their pages, their scope, read 2026-09-16)
Gutter length Time on the ladder scales with feet of gutter Indianapolis provider: flat $499 under 150 linear feet; Charlotte search snippets cite $0.60-$2.18 per linear foot (third-party survey figures)
Stories and access Second and third stories need taller ladders, more moves, more risk Nashville provider table: $185 to $585 by story and scope; Seattle provider table: $200 to $439 by house size (residential; its office tier runs higher)
Guards Screens and covers must be lifted, cleaned under, and reset Usually a separate line or a review; several pages exclude covered systems
Debris load Two seasons of oak leaves is a different job than a light spring pass Some pages price "heavy debris" as a tier
Downspouts Each one is checked and flushed; clogged elbows take time Included in most tables, itemized in some
Haul-away Bagging and removing debris versus leaving it Included in most residential tables
Region Leaf load and rainfall differ; the metro pages state local timing Portland provider: "starting at $225"

How our price is built

Estimated all-in provider cost for your scope, plus our margin, as one number. Two stories, up to a stated gutter length, no guards, normal debris: that is the standard band. Guards, a third story, heavy debris, or blocked access are review branches: we tell you the adjusted price before anything is charged. We do not publish an average, because we have no completed jobs to average and because a third-party "average of $162" (Charlotte cost snippets from Angi and aggregators, 2026-09-16) tells you nothing about a three-story house under pines.

What does not change the price

Whether you own or rent the house. Whether you are home during the visit, as long as gates are open and pets are inside. Whether you booked online or by phone.

Gutter cleaning cost per linear foot

Public figures on a per-foot basis are thinner than per-house pricing, but two dated data points show the shape. Charlotte-market search snippets survey a range of about $0.60 to $2.18 per linear foot for standard cleaning (third-party survey figures, read 2026-09-16). An Indianapolis provider instead prices flat at $499 under 150 linear feet, which works out to roughly $3.33 per foot at that threshold before the price steps to a different flat tier (Indianapolis provider price page, read 2026-09-16). Figures like these are useful for sanity-checking a quote, not for building your own estimate, because they mix flat-fee math with true per-foot pricing, and neither publisher discloses stories, guards, or debris load, all of which our own price accounts for.

How much should I pay for gutter cleaning?

Based on the dated public price tables above: a single-story house with normal debris and no guards tends to land toward the lower end of published local ranges, for example the low end of Nashville's $185-$585 table or Seattle's $200-$439 table (both read 2026-09-16); a two- or three-story house, heavy debris, or guards pushes toward the higher end or above it. Treat a quote far outside these published ranges, in either direction, as a reason to ask what is and is not included (downspouts, haul-away, guard handling) before you accept it. We do not publish "the average price to pay" as our own number, because an average tells you nothing about your specific house, and because we have no completed jobs of our own to average.

Metro cost pages

We publish a metro cost page only where we hold at least three dated local price observations with comparable scope. Today that is twelve metros; the others link here until we have the observations.

Questions

  • Is the price per foot or per house? Per house, built from the factors above. We ask for the footprint or use the worksheet to estimate feet.
  • Do you charge more in fall? No seasonal surcharge. Fall fills faster, so the earliest window may be later.
  • What if the provider finds damage? They note it; the cleaning price does not change, and we do not sell the repair.

Why book this way

  • Your price online in minutes. No callback, no estimate visit, no waiting for someone to get back to you. Typically the quickest way to book this service.
  • One all-in price before any contact. None of the nine national gutter brands we read publishes a price; each asks for an estimate first (read 2026-09-16 and 2026-09-17).
  • One point of contact from your request to the finished job. We work with a local partner and answer for the result.
  • You pay only after the price and your booking are confirmed.
